3M™ Tegaderm™ Transparent Film Dressings
Tegaderm transparent film dressings consist of a thin, semipermeable film backing that is impermeable to liquids, bacteria and viruses,* yet water vapour, oxygen and carbon dioxide can easily escape. The sterile film includes a latex free hypoallergenic adhesive enabling long wear time and full site visibility to minimise unnecessary dressing changes.
Added protection for moist conditions
3M™ Tegaderm™ Diamond Transparent Film Dressings have a highly breathable film for a firm hold and gentle release.
3M™ Tegaderm™ HP (Holding Power) Transparent Film Dressings have a special adhesive for greater holding power in humid conditions or with diaphoretic patients.
All Tegaderm transparent film dressings are safe to be worn for up to seven days and provide:
* Bacterial and viral barrier
* Site visibility
* Breathability
* Easy application
* Patient comfort and mobility
3M™ Tegaderm™ I.V. Dressings
More than thirty years ago, 3M introduced the first Tegaderm I.V. Dressings. Since then, we’ve collaborated with health care professionals around the world to develop products that simplify and improve care practices, continually expanding the range of options within the Tegaderm™ Dressings portfolio.
Every day, we are inspired by everything health care professionals do to give patients the best possible care. So as new technologies have emerged and new advances achieved, we’ve applied them to transparent dressings, resulting in a broad portfolio of I.V. site dressings that help improve patient outcomes and provide excellent value.
3M™ Tegaderm™ I.V. Advanced Securement Dressing
Tegaderm I.V. Advanced Securement Dressings include a deep notch, stabilisation border, pattern-coated adhesive and dual adhesive technology to provide the comfort and protection your patients deserve.
Two innovative adhesives provide excellent hold, even under moist skin conditions. 1 The firmer, patterned adhesive secures and protects the catheter and channels moisture from the skin, facilitating efficient moisture evaporation through the dressing’s breathable film. A complementary adhesive along the border provides added dressing securement.
These dressings meet the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) and INS (Infusion Nurses Society) definitions as a catheter securement or stabilisation device.2,3
Cost effective and reliable securement
3M™ Tegaderm™ I.V. Securement Dressings are reinforced with soft cloth tape and include pre-cut sterile tape strips for improved fixation and security.
The original frame delivery system allows ease of application and accurate positioning, a record label is also included for documenting dressing change.
Waterproof Tegaderm film extends over entire dressing surface – effectively protecting the I.V. site from bacteria and viruses*
* In vitro testing shows that the transparent film provides a viral barrier from viruses 27nm in diameter or larger while the dressing remains intact without leakage.
